Located in the heart of Surfers Paradise, Gold Coast, Queensland, this project was to re-purpose an unused shopfront location into a beautiful and modern accommodation reception for an existing business.

The project had a fair share of challenges and conditions that the client required for their new location. The business was already existing, but had no official reception, and required the style of their space to reflect the new brand identity and colour palette they were looking to achieve. Furthermore, the space had a few technical requirements that were a-typical for the typology of these kind of shops, such as a private vestibule for customer acquisition of room keys after typical operating hours.

We worked diligently with the client to design feature walls, a kitchen, concealed storage, a reception desk and finishing / fixtures that establish their business as one of luxury and quality. Finishes were classic, and included brass, venetian render, and Calcutta-Marble look accents. Other elements considered included a dropped ceiling bulkhead with a halo-like lighting effect and durable travertine floors within high-trafficked areas.

The project was well received and approved by the client upon completion. Construction works are meant to commence within the next year.
