Located not far from their original project for Q-Stay,, this project was similar to previous work we had undertaken for the client, which was to re-purpose an unused shopfront location to suit new needs.

This project differed slightly however, in that the business going in was new, and the space already was being utilized for storage by an adjacent business- another operation of the same client. So the challenge of this project was to find a way to connect the two spaces and businesses together so that staff could move freely between them to assist customers. Furthermore, the new business and “transitional” areas would require adequate storage solutions to suit both businesses’ needs.

The design Austrada developed solved these problems through the careful implementation of custom joinery, pocket doors and a flowing workspace from the existing business that was non-disruptive of several already-existing elements. Finishes complemented the layout by brightening the space, utilize soft oak-timbers, white paint, black accents and furniture that matched this theme while also serving the needs of the business.

The project is currently undergoing approval, and works are expected to start in late 2024.
